Anode System
Drymat ! 27 years of experience
The latest version of standard 3355 from 03/2017, which applies to our drainage process, requires anodes that fulfil the material requirements for cathodic corrosion protection.
The highest quality in terms of anode durability is required in bridge construction. Only titanium with corresponding precious metal activation layers is used here.
We therefore use titanium with an activation layer consisting of iridium or platinum for anodes, cathodes, all screw connections and cables.
According to Lida's literature, the life expectancy of the anode at a current density of 110 mA/sqm is greater than 100 years. According to standard 3355, the current density in our application is limited to 5 - 8 mA / m, so the service life is correspondingly long.
Optimum current output can be ensured by using an in-built resistor. This resistor prevents major differences in the current output and enables a higher average current density than with large anodes without a series resistor.
HIGH END von Drymat !
Several anodes can be connected to a single lead wire, which greatly reduces installation work. A titanium screw penetrates the insulation and makes the connection simply and securely, so the wire does not have to be stripped but simply placed in the anode head. The screw is tightened to a defined torque of exactly 1.2 NM using a torque tool. The use of micromesh greatly improves the electrical conductivity between the primary anode and the certified mortar.
THE BEST OR NOTHING !
The use of identical materials for cables, screw contacts, anodes and cathodes also means that stress corrosion, the formation of copper sulphate and system failure are virtually eliminated.
